Chief Peter Newsham discusses the arrest of a suspect in the July 10, 2017 shooting of a one year old male.
On Tuesday, July 18, 2017, pursuant to a DC Superior Court arrest warrant, 39 year-old Derrick Damon Watson of Northeast, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun).
Additionally, the Metropolitan Police Department seeks the public’s assistance in locating a second suspect who is wanted in connection with this offense. The suspect has been identified as 27 year-old Saheed Aluwatoyin Washington Sulu of Southeast, DC
