It's Tip Tuesday once again and this week I'm talking about how to tell when you need to replace your sealing ring.
1) if you begin to cook and it says ON and you let it go and return and there is steam coming from under the cover, from the pin and it and the machine has not cooked anything...
2)you press cancel, press the sealing ring down and it pops up or it
3) seems very loose
You need a new sealing ring.
If you remove the cover and you press down the sealing ring, check for anything clogging the cover and you put it back on and it works than it may be starting to go bad. Or it could be a newbie error. BUT most likely you need a new sealing ring.
Check those three things. My rule of thumb is if it's been 6 months or more of constant cooking time, replace the lid.
