What you need:
1.Paper for lists:
a: freezer
b.leftovers to use up
2: shopping list broken down for different stores or just me and hubby
3: large index card and pen
4. Store flyers
5. Apps and websites
6.cookbooks/Magazine/clippings
Make sure to sit down at the same time every week in the same place
List the days of the week on your index card. If there is an order you cook in than put it down like Monday is Meatless Monday, Tuesday is tacos, etc.
Start filling them in according to what u want to make from cookbooks, magazines, Pinterest, etc. Also I wrote on the card if the recipe is an Instant Pot recipe or an air fryer recipe. As you do it, fill in your shopping list according to what u need (read the recipes and figure out what you need), check off what u can use from your leftover and freezer lists. Then go to the flyers and write down what's on sale that you want to buy or need. Also mention of you have a coupon it if it's a digital coupon.
When I cook each recipe I make a note whether it's good or if it isn't by giving it an A-F and a check mark.At the end of the two week period, I attach the card to a stack of the cards from the year. I occasionally go back to other cards and make another recipe from a previous week.
Also if you have one of those neat food meal planner books then all of this is included (list areas, meal planning sections, etc) then use that.
I also make a list in my Notes app broken down for each store. I put down all the sale items, all the digital coupons, regular coupons, I make two physical lists- one for Steve and one for me. I only list items for Steve that I know he can find without asking for help.
Then we go shopping. We come home and I put it all away.
